Numbers of candidates shortlisted for Police recruitment from each state, region released..

 

 

The Police Service Commission has released the list for the next stage of its recruitment process and only 5,253 candidates out of the over 37,000 who sat for the police recruitment examination recently made the cut.

The successful candidates have been directed to report for medical screening between May 31 and June 3.

premium Times reports that the Police Service Commission had said the new constables would be picked from the 774 local government areas in compliance with the federal character principle of Nigeria.

 

“We have representatives from Police Service Commission (PSC) and Federal Character Commission (FCC) to ensure that federal character was captured,” the deputy inspector-general of police in charge of training, Emmanuel Inyang, had said.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 1,113 applicants began screening in Lagos state on Monday, May 7, for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that about 6,000 applicants were shortlisted for the exercise nationwide.
