Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki

Charly Boy had in a post on Sunday, March 11, criticised Bukola Saraki over a picture where the Senate President was seen cleaning mud from his trousers.

The entertainer who thought Saraki had just escaped a mob attack stated that “may all those who have conspired to render us hopeless, penniless and frustrated, may nemesis catch up with them”.

However, upon realizing that the photograph was taken when Saraki led a delegation on an oversight visit to assess the level of oil spillage in Ogoniland in 2012, Charly Boy apologized to the Senate president for his mistake.

Saraki in turn accepted the apology from Charly Boy, stating that he appreciated the entertainer for coming forward to admit that his post against him was ill-conceived.

In another report, Bukola Saraki has commended the Benin monarch, Oba Ewuare II, for revoking curses placed on victims of human trafficking in Edo state.

Stating that the Oba of Benin played a key role in the roundtable organised by the Senate on illegal migration and human trafficking, Saraki said Nigeria and its people need more of the leadership role displayed by the Oba.
